Winter Recess

Winter recess will be from February 24^th to March 4^th.  Students will return to school on Wednesday, March 5^th.  Enjoy this time with your child!

The next School Board Meeting will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the JES Library.  As always, the community is invited to attend.

Proposed Budget FY15

To celebrate all of the "pawsitive" comments the students have earned, we will have an all-school read on Tuesday, February 11th.  The whole school will stop and read from after school-wide morning meeting until 8:30 a.m.  Please encourage your child to bring a book from home to read.  For those students who forget a book from home, books will be available in the classrooms.

We still need volunteers for Winterfest on February 21^st, please send me an email (tracydolan@yahoo.com) with your contact info and times available OR (even better) send in your form that we sent home last week to let us know if you can help play with kids in the snow on the afternoon of February 21^st.  

The JES Growing Minds Auction will take place on April 12^th at 6pm.  Thanks in advance for contributing to this event which will build on Farm to School, improvements in the cafeteria and other events that promote wellness in the school.  More info to follow soon!

We all headed out for a Winter Wellness Walk. There was lots of snow and hot cider at the end of our journey.

Winter Wellness Walk

Just a reminder that on Wednesday, Feb. 5th, we are having an all school winter wellness walk around the walking path.  Please send your child to school with boots, snowpants and appropriate winter clothing for a walk outside!
