Handprints at JES

Last Friday Jericho Elementary students participated in decorating the school with colorful handprints.

The kindergarten classes decorated the front office, while the other grades started decorating the bus lobby walls.

Please take a look around during your next visit to the school to see the children's handprints which are a colorful addition to the school.

PBIS Handshake Project

JES students participated in a schoolwide handshake project on Tuesday.  This was a fun, interactive way to show respect and tolerance as well as increasing bonds among students and the entire school community.

During this project students worked in groups of three. Two students shook hands, and shared both their differences as well as their connectedness, while the third student,"the cast master" wrapped the handshake with plaster.

Once the handshakes are dry they will be decorated and displayed in the school.

THE MITTEN TREE IS COMING!!

                    The Mitten Tree Event begins
                           Tuesday, January 6!

Let's continue to support our local families after the
holidays by taking a mitten(s) from our mitten tree
           outside the JES office.

Each mitten lists a requested item to be collected
          for the Jericho/Underhill Food Shelf.
Please drop off your item in our box located in the lobby by Thursday, January 15.
               Thank you for your support!!

The next School Board Meeting will take place on
Wednesday, January 14 at 7:00pm in the JES library.
As always, the community is invited to attend.
